The Jura C60 vs E6 – which will be your right pick for easy but quality home-making espresso drinks? After trying both machines, I see that the Jura E6 has a relatively better performance than the Jura C60.
I considered the Jura E6 the winner in this comparison because I found that the E6 can make a better espresso taste thanks to the programmable 8-level espresso/coffee strengths and the higher-quality grinder. It also offers more numbers of coffee drinks than the Jura C60.
However, the Jura E6 does not feature a bypass doser which the Jura C60 does. Thus, the Jura C60 is more suitable when you want to use not only fresh coffee beans but also pre-ground ones.

Jura C60 vs E6: Differences
The Jura E6 shows better outputs in the grinder technology and performance, coffee flavors, and utility. So, the Jura E6 wins 3-1 against the C60 and is worth the price and extra work to keep it clean and functional.
On the other hand, the Jura C60 has the bypass doser for powder coffee, which cannot be found in the Jura E6. As a result, the Jura C60 is a little bit better in terms of dose control.
Grinder
Winner: Jura E6
The grinder in Jura E6 is definitely an amazing upgrade because it operates more efficiently and silently than that in the Jura C60.
The AromaG3 grinder is the one built in the Jura C60. This is one of the key technologies of Jura brand, allowing the coffee beans to be freshly ground with adjustable 6-level finenesses. As a result, the ground coffee is finer. The angle of the conical burr’s cutting is also perfected, making the grinding process smoother and quieter than the conventional conical-burr grinder.
On the other hand, the Jura C60 presents a stainless steel conical burr with 5 settings of ground-coffee fineness. Thus, the particles will not be as fine as those ground by the Jura E6.
Coffee flavors
Winner: Jura E6

Between the Jura C60 vs E6 coffee flavors, the E6 provides a stronger and richer taste, though both machines feature the same brewing technology of the PEP – Pulse Extraction Process.
This could be attributed to the better AromaG3 grinder and more settings for the coffee strengths. The strength and boldness of the coffee drinks are significantly influenced by the fineness of the ground coffee. The finer the ground coffee, the stronger the taste. Besides, the Jura E6 provides up to 8 levels of coffee intensity, double the number of intensity levels in the Jura C60 (4 levels). Therefore, the taste of coffee shots is deep, bold, and amazing.
When trying to brew black coffee with both Jura C60 and E6 machines, I prefer the flavor of the cups made by the Jura E6. The shot is hot, strong, and tasteful, exactly what I want. Meanwhile, the C60’s coffee shot is not that bold and rich; I mean, it’s milder than the shot brewed from Jura E6.
Dose control
Winner: Jura C60
For dose control, the Jura C60 is the winner as it can provide the option of using either coffee beans or pre-ground coffee. It is because the machine is equipped with not only a bean hopper but also a bypass doser that is not presented on the E6. The bypass doser for pre-ground coffee is a great feature as you can make decaf coffee beverages with coffee powder.
Utility
Winner: Jura E6
Bean hopper capacity
The Jura E6’s bean hopper appears to be larger than the Jura C60’s, allowing you to add more coffee beans and save time when producing several servings for guests or family members.

No. of programmable coffee specialties
The Jura E6 offers a greater number of coffee specialties, which is 7 presets, compared to the 4 presets featured on the Jura C60. So, it is possible to make various quality cappuccino and latte cups or just authentic espresso or long black coffee using the Jura E6 coffee center.
App connection
The E6 is compatible with the smart app connection, while the C65 isn’t. Therefore, controlling and programming the coffee brewing or cleaning processes become easier at your fingertips using the connected smartphone or tablet.

I am Ralph Mason and I am a passionate coffee drinker. I worked as a barista for a few years and since 2012 I have been trying to convince as many people as possible of good coffee.
I started writing on the barista blog on RepublikCoffeeBar in 2018. It was a pure hobby site and I tested coffee products like coffee machines, beans, mug, and other accessories. After the first year, my blog is becoming a well-known coffee site with about 100 thousand visits per month.
In 2019 I decided to focus on RepublikCoffeeBar only. I became a full-time coffee blogger and was declared crazy by many.
