The C65 and E6 are good coffee machines from Jura, a well-known brand for high-quality automatic coffee machines. So, for Jura C65 vs E6 comparison, which would be a better and more convenient machine?
For me, the Jura E6 is the better pick, as it offers more adjustable levels for the coffee strengths and a greater number of presets for espresso and coffee drinks. Though it does not have the bypass doser found in the Jura C65, it is equipped with an ungraded grinder for smoother and more silent operation. Thus, if you don’t mind the shortage of the bypass tube for ground coffee, the Jura E6 is worth buying.
On the other hand, the Jura C65 will be suitable for people who like simple and straightforward control over the machine operation and use ground coffee for decaf drinks frequently.

Jura C65 vs E6: Differences
To me, the Jura E6 wins 3-1 against the Jura C65, in terms of grinder performance, coffee taste, and utility. However, the Jura E6 does not have the bypass doser like on the Jura C65, which could be a minor minus in terms of dose control.
Grinder
Winner: Jura E6
Grinder
When operating the grinding process on both Jura E6 and C65, I find that the grinder of the E6 is smoother and quieter than that of the C65. This can be attributed to the AromaG3 grinder, which can be considered an upgrade to the Aroma+ grinder of the C65. As the conical burr’s cutting angle of the AromaG3 grinder is perfected by Jura, the grinds are finer and more precise, contributing to the greater brewing coffee experience.
Bean hopper capacity

The bean hopper of the Jura E6 is apparently bigger than that of the Jura C65, so you can load more coffee beans and save more time when making many servings for your friends or family members.
Apart from that, both Jura E6 and C65 have bean-hopper plastic lids with a great tight seal, helping to preserve the beans’ aroma and freshness and be ready for the next brews.
Dose control
Winner: Jura C65
The Jura C65 is the better option when it comes to the control of coffee dose as it has the bypass doser for pre-ground coffee, which is not featured on the E6. Therefore, if you want to use pre-ground coffee for decaf drinks, the C65 would be the right pick.
On the other hand, both the Jura C65 and E6 allow users to adjust the volume of coffee, the brewing temperatures, and the coffee strengths. These programmable features can help me to personalize my coffee or espresso drinks easily. I can also change the settings to meet the taste of my friends and family members while the machines are brewing, which is very convenient.
Coffee taste
Winner: Jura E6
Though the adjustable coffee dose control looks somewhat similar on both machines, the Jura E6 gives a relatively better coffee taste to me, compared to the Jura C65. It is because the Jura E6 has up to 8 different levels of coffee strength, not 4 levels like the C65, allowing me to adjust and determine the intensity of my drinks much better.
In addition, with the Jura E6, I can make more coffee specialties as it has 7 presets of coffee specialties instead of 4 ones like on the C65. I tried brewing my coffee cup with the E6 and the output is great. It gives me hot, great bold, and tasteful black coffee as I expected.
The C65 also makes great espresso shots but it has inconsistency in the extraction flavors. Sometimes, I experienced coffee that is watery and weak, which I think the cause is that the grinds are too coarse for my drinks.
Utility
Winner: Jura E6
App connection
When using the Jura E6, it is possible to control and program your drinks using your smartphone or tablet thanks to the smart app connection feature of the machine. Thus, I can access the whole library of different styles of espresso beverages without standing relentlessly in my kitchen corner.
However, the Jura C65 does not have this smart connection. So, I think the Jura E6 is worth a buy if you want to customize and make your drinks while lying in your bed or sitting on your couch, or at your working desk.
Interface

With the control panel of the TFT color display with buttons, I find it easier to customize the settings on the Jura E6 than on the C65 which uses rotary switches. The 2.8 inches color display of the Jura E6 gives me direct images and descriptions of what I am customizing, and the navigating buttons are easy to use, helping me quickly adjust the right settings for my cups of coffee.
Jura C65 vs E6: Similarities
For the similarities of Jura C65 vs E6 topic, it will fall into the standard technologies that Jura applied to these two machines.
The Jura E6 and C65 are single-boiler coffee machines with a thermoblock heating system. Thus, The heating time of the machine is fast, which is less than a minute.
Additionally, these machines have integrated cleaning and descaling programs that can be activated with a touch of a button, making maintenance simple and quick.
The water tanks of both machines also have the CLARIS anti-scaling technology, helping the machine filter the minerals in the water to prevent clogging and damage to the operating and heating systems.

I am Ralph Mason and I am a passionate coffee drinker. I worked as a barista for a few years and since 2012 I have been trying to convince as many people as possible of good coffee.
I started writing on the barista blog on RepublikCoffeeBar in 2018. It was a pure hobby site and I tested coffee products like coffee machines, beans, mug, and other accessories. After the first year, my blog is becoming a well-known coffee site with about 100 thousand visits per month.
In 2019 I decided to focus on RepublikCoffeeBar only. I became a full-time coffee blogger and was declared crazy by many.
