Today, Delonghi Dinamica vs Jura ENA 8 is my next espresso machine debate. Both are great automatic coffee machines. But for me, Delonghi Dinamica is a little more appealing.
The winner Delonghi Dinamica wins my heart thanks to its powerful, customizable grinder, quick heat-up time, easy-to-clean parts, and especially its affordable price.
The runner-up Jura ENA 8 is truly a countersign opponent. Not only the ENA 8 but many other Jura models are famous for their PEP espresso extraction technology and a wide range of one-touch beverage recipes. Its exterior design really suits any modern kitchen, and I was especially impressed with the unique design of the water tank.

Delonghi Dinamica vs Jura ENA 8: Differences
After weighing the differences between these two machines, I found that Delonghi Dinamica wins 2-0 and ties 2 against Jura ENA 8. Read the analysis below to know the pros and cons of each machine.
espresso flavor
The winner: Delonghi Dinamica
Heating system
Both Delonghi Dinamica and Jura ENA 8 employ a single thermoblock heating system, so they work essentially the same. If you’re in a little doubt about the single thermoblock’s capabilities, just be assured. In reality, these systems do their job well. The Dinamica takes less than 40 seconds to heat up, while the ENA 8 typically warms up within 1 minute.
Besides, remember that you will have to wait for the boiler to switch between brewing and steaming. This is normal when the machine is only equipped with one boiler. This process takes only a few seconds, so it doesn’t matter to me.
Brewing technique
Regarding the brewing technique, both machines use a 15-bar pump, the standard level to extract an ideal cup of coffee for today’s automatic espresso machines.
On the Jura ENA 8, you can adjust the coffee volume, the coffee strength, and the brewing temperature to optimize your espresso. Besides, this machine is featured with Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.®) technology, which optimizes the extraction time and guarantees the best aroma for each cup.

As for Delonghi Dinamica, this machine is characterized by the True Brew iced coffee function, the method of brewing coffee on ice. With this technique, users need to fill the cup with ice before brewing. The TrueBrew mode is specifically designed to get a mellow coffee flavor without being diluted by ice. The brewing and extraction times will be slightly longer than usual, but this is necessary for this process.
Grinder
From my point of view, both machines are equipped with excellent grinding systems. Not only are they powerful and produce quality coffee grounds, but they also offer many customization options for people.
With Delonghi Dinamica, the grinder has 13 settings that are adjusted by turning the dial on the bean hopper. This feature allows you to experiment and find the right grind level for your ideal beverage. For me, the fifth setting offers the most satisfying espresso with a beautiful crema.
The Jura ENA 8 is equipped with the Aroma G3 grinder, which is fast, quiet, and efficient. Unlike the Dinamica, changing the grind settings on the ENA 8 is done by adjusting the grinding wheel surrounding the bean hopper, and those changes are only made while the grinder is running.
milk system
Tie
Jura ENA 8 comes with a silicone tube that can be connected to any milk container. The volume of milk foam for each beverage is adjustable. In my own experience, there is not much difference in the milk foam consistency between flat white, cappuccino, and latte macchiato. This system works relatively well, and the milk froth is dense and firm. With a fully automated milk system like the ENA8’s, I have no further complaints.
Unlike its opponent, Delonghi Dinamica is equipped with a manual steam wand. It’s not automatic, but it’s still a good device for beginners who don’t have much experience using a manual milk frother. This milk system offers two options, including a steam function for lattes or cappuccinos and a hot water function for making tea or hot chocolate. Also, due to employing a manual steam wand, the Dinamica allows users to freely adjust the consistency of milk foam as desired, from thick to thin. That sounds interesting, right?
ease of cleaning
Tie
Both machines have some auto-cleaning features, and they will notify you when it’s descaling time. Overall, cleaning them is simple and easy.
In addition to featuring the DeLonghi descaling solution, parts such as the drip tray, ground coffee container, brew head, and water tank are all removable. To clean these parts, you just need to wash them gently with warm water. With the steam wand, simply wipe the tube with a damp cloth and steam it for a few seconds after each use to prevent clogging and damage.

Although the brew unit cannot be removed for cleaning, in return, Jura ENA 8 is equipped with a smart filter CLEARYL to purify water quickly. You can easily remove heavy metals in water, limescale, and other unwanted deposits, greatly improving the taste of your espresso.
value of money
The winner: Delonghi DInamica
The Jura ENA 8 is a really good automatic espresso machine. This machine stands out for its ability to customize coffee. You can choose to adjust the coffee length, coffee volume, brewing temperature, or even the amount of milk and milk foam. However, for the price of the ENA 8, I was expecting more. The ability to customize the milk foam consistency is really unclear. Meanwhile, accompanying accessories such as milk containers and Smart Connect adapters for wireless connectivity are also included.
With Delonghi Dinamica, this machine still provides users with all the features of an automatic espresso machine, and the drink quality is not much different from the ENA 8. Besides, it also comes with the TrueBrew Ice Coffee feature, which is not easy to find in other automatic coffee machines on the market. From what this machine shows, I consider it suitable for the price and somewhat more affordable than its opponent.

I am Ralph Mason and I am a passionate coffee drinker. I worked as a barista for a few years and since 2012 I have been trying to convince as many people as possible of good coffee.
I started writing on the barista blog on RepublikCoffeeBar in 2018. It was a pure hobby site and I tested coffee products like coffee machines, beans, mug, and other accessories. After the first year, my blog is becoming a well-known coffee site with about 100 thousand visits per month.
In 2019 I decided to focus on RepublikCoffeeBar only. I became a full-time coffee blogger and was declared crazy by many.
