The Gaggia Cadorna Prestige vs Jura ENA 8 is the next espresso machines debate you need to check. These espresso machines are excellent bean-to-cup models with specialized coffee beverages and programmable coffee settings. But for me, there can only be 1 winner, and it’s Gaggia Cadorna Prestige.
The Jura ENA 8 is well known for its complex PEP espresso extraction technology. It also has a very sleek design that will sit well in any modern kitchen. It also boasts a good set of one-touch beverages and modern PEP technology for espresso extraction.
The Gaggia Cadorna Prestige‘s customizable capabilities give greater espresso flavor and adjustments. With a more responsive and intuitive design, it’s also simpler to operate. If I were you, I would get this because of the entirely automated and personalized beverages.

Gaggia Cadorna Prestige vs Jura ENA 8: Differences
Jura ENA 8 wins 3-1 and ties once against Gaggia Cadorna Prestige. It boasts a more modern heating element and it’s easier to clean. Check out all the details below!
Heating element
Winner: Jura ENA 8
The Jura ENA 8 boasts a Thermoblock heating mechanism, which produces hot water for brewing after a short waiting time. On the other than, Gaggia Cadorna Prestige uses a single boiler only. But, this single boiler is designed with new technology that allows it to heat up very quickly, which brings it close to what a Thermoblock can offer.

Both espresso and milk temperatures may be heated using the Quick Heat Boiler. It raises the milk’s temperature to the ideal steaming range of 125 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Unfortunately, although it is reliable and steady, it lacks the speed that the Jura ENA 8 provides with its amazing Thermo technology.
Coffee Grinder
Winner: Gaggia Cadorna Prestige
There are 10 grind stages and a flat ceramic burr grinder included with the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige. The stainless steel conical burr grinder on the Jura ENA 8 has 10 settings. Steel and ceramic both physically grind the coffee, but ceramic does it without causing any harm. Therefore, there will be less wear and tear with a ceramic grinder.
More crucially, compared to steel, ceramic burr grinders are better at handling a wider range of espresso roasts, including light, medium, and dark (as well as oily beans). Regarding commercial barista-grade machinery, manual or automatic steel conical grinders have always been preferred.
After some time, steel blades do inevitably lose their sharpness. However, a freshly manufactured stainless steel grinder blade will be sharper than a ceramic on, but only initially. Consequently, a steel burr grinder will cut more precisely in its initial stages. This promotes consistency in your grind up until the point where the steel blades start to lose their sharpness.

Espresso extraction
Winner: Jura ENA 8
At the press of a button, the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige can prepare 14 preset coffee drinks. However, the Jura ENA 8 can only produce 10 cups of coffee. The traditional drinks, such as latte, cappuccino, flat white, and latte macchiato, are still included. However, the more barista-style beverages, such the Café Au Lait, are absent.
The Jura ENA 8 has more sophisticated controls. As a result, you may use as little as 0.5 ounces of coffee for a Ristretto and as much as 8 ounces of coffee, and 10 ounces of hot water for a Long Coffee option.
Pre-infusion, the AromaG3 grinder, and PEP all contribute to a balanced and easy extraction of coffee. Considering Jura’s 3 temperature settings and 10 brew strength settings results in a more complex espresso flavor.
Milk System
Tie
Gaggia Cadorna Prestige has a more professional-looking milk carafe. The appropriate amount of milk and froth is delivered depending on your chosen beverage. You don’t have to measure it manually. And sure, the Gaggia is smart enough to steam milk differently according to the type of coffee you choose. This gives you a distinct milk texture and temperature for each beverage you create.
As for Jura Ena 8, it comes with a silicone tube that can connect any milk container to the machine. The device automatically froths from creamy to dry foam according to the type of beverage you choose. I find no difference in the milk performance.
Cleaning
Winner: Jura ENA 8
You may remove the brew group to clean the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige from the interior thoroughly. The machine’s major components are readily disassembled for cleaning. As a result, you will spend less on all the necessary Gaggia accessories and cleaning supplies than the Jura ENA 8.
The Jura ENA 8 has an energy-saving zero-energy switch and an auto-off mode. This ensures that the machine won’t run out of power even when the button is switched on, resulting in less energy being used to avoid overloading or overheating.

Also, these machines have a good indicator system that tells when the devices need to be cleaned or descaled. So it’s quite easy to keep up with the schedule and all. However, Gaggia Cadorna Prestige has a problem with its bean hopper indicator. Sometimes, it tells me that the hopper is empty, even though it’s filled to the rim.
I usually turn the machine on or off, pull the drip tray out to trigger the device into rescanning to encounter real problems, and the trick works.

I am Ralph Mason and I am a passionate coffee drinker. I worked as a barista for a few years and since 2012 I have been trying to convince as many people as possible of good coffee.
I started writing on the barista blog on RepublikCoffeeBar in 2018. It was a pure hobby site and I tested coffee products like coffee machines, beans, mug, and other accessories. After the first year, my blog is becoming a well-known coffee site with about 100 thousand visits per month.
In 2019 I decided to focus on RepublikCoffeeBar only. I became a full-time coffee blogger and was declared crazy by many.
