It is a close race between Delonghi Dinamica Plus vs Eletta. Individually, both have advantages and disadvantages. How do both fare when compared?
It’s Delonghi Dinamica Plus that wins the debate between Delonghi Dinamica Plus and Eletta. The Delonghi Dinamica Plus features an intuitive display with a powerful pump system that works at 19 bars. Additionally, it has features the Eletta doesn’t have, such as being able to save customized coffee drinks and modify existing coffee drinks (up to 12 drinks). Using the Coffee Link App, you can also control the coffee maker (Dinamica Plus).
With Eletta, the runner-up, you still get a great automatic espresso machine with a one-touch display, a Latte Crema System, the ability to create your own recipes, and a 15 bar pump pressure. It is suitable for regular coffee drinkers as well as those who drink specialty and decaf coffee.

Delonghi Dinamica Plus vs Eletta: Differences
To quickly summarize, the Delonghi Dinamica Plus wins 3 – 2 against the DeLonghi Eletta. The Delonghi Dinamica Plus beats DeLonghi Eletta in pump pressure, display, customizable settings, and the overall handling of the machine.
1. Espresso Flavor
The Winner: Dinamica Plus

Coffee Grinder
Let’s talk a bit about the grinders on both machines. The Dinamica Plus features an integrated conical burr grinder. While the Eletta features a steel burr grinder. Both grinders have adjustable settings for grinding the coffee beans fine or coarser.
The difference lies in the way they maintain consistency. Conical grinders stay cooler and quieter for longer. They retain accurate grinding performance, no matter how many times you use them.
A steel burr grinder, that’s in the Eletta, offers better accuracy and control. You might find some slight inconsistency in grinding results. But the blades of a burr grinder, especially a steel burr grinder, stay sharp for a long time.
Pump Pressure
When brewing espresso, the pressure should be strong enough to satisfy espresso enthusiasts.
With its 19 bar pressure, the De’Longhi Dinamica Plus grinds your coffee beans and exerts the pressure needed for a great espresso every time.
In this way, the Eletta has a 15 bar pump system. A 15 bar pump system isn’t bad, but it’s not as good as one that pumps at 19 bars. This is because some of the pressure is lost during espresso extraction. So with a 19 bar, you can still experience a higher pressure extraction for a strong and rich flavour. With a 15 bar pump system, this is relatively weaker.
2. Dose Control
The Winner: It’s A Tie!

Customized Profiles
A variety of customizable settings are available in the De’Longhi Dinamica Plus, including the amount of froth, the drink size, and the aroma. The best part is that this can all be saved in your user profile as well, so you will always be able to create the drink without having to customize it every time you start the machine.
You can save up to 3 unique profiles and a guest profile on the Dinamica Plus. In order to customize your profile, you can pick your favourite icon. This can be customized by up to three people at the same time. Your customized drink will be saved under your name and designated coffee icon.
The De’Longhi Eletta ECAM45760 does not have user profiles for saving customized coffee drinks. But it does feature one-touch smart coffee drinks that are already pre-programmed. Such as regular coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, latte macchiato, flat white, hot milk, hot water, and Americano.
3. Milk System
The Winner: Eletta

While both machines feature the LatteCrema system, the automatic frother on the Eletta has a special function. You can remove the milk container to use it as a steam wand which is something that barista-grade machines offer.
This feature is not present in Dinamica Plus. You can use its automatic LatteCrema system to produce the richest, creamiest milk foam for cappuccinos or lattes. But the ability to customize and steam milk using the steam wand is only present in the Eletta.
4. Utilities
The Winner: Dinamica Plus

Display / Control Panel
De’Longhi Dinamica Plus has a 3.5-inch colour touch display. Colour touch display, displaying different drinks in clear images, walks you through the setup and is very intuitive to use.
The display from the Eletta is just good enough; but, I think, for its price point, it could be better. An improved display would probably enhance the overall appearance of the machine in comparison to the blue-background digital panel display. The one-touch display buttons are organized around the screen, making it easier to access.
Smartphone App
Control your machine via the coffee link app. This is a feature only available on De’Longhi Dinamica Plus, not on Eletta.
In order to easily personalize and program all of the coffee machine’s features, it is possible to connect the coffee machine to your smartphone or tablet using the Coffee Link app. Through the coffee link app, the machine is connected via Bluetooth. As a result, it allows for additional customization of drinks that aren’t possible with the machine, such as setting coffee quantity in mm and milk quantity by the pouring time.
It’s much easier to customize drinks through the app than on the machine. It is also possible to prepare drinks through the app, but you will need to be near the machine to ensure that a cup is underneath the spout.
DeLonghi Dimamica Plus vs Eletta: Similarities
1. Coffee Customizations
The Dinamica Plus and Eletta have a touch display with a whole coffee menu. It’s like having your own barista ready to brew for you. The brewing technology is fast enough and it brews two cups in a single brew cycle.
You can customize the coffee grind, strength, duration, and temperature. These variables feel less intimidating when you have access to a high-quality touchscreen and buttons.
In fact, you can also customize your own coffee drink and create new recipes.
2. Dose Control
In terms of versatility, the machines also allow pre-ground coffee that goes into the second chamber. So the twin brewing cycle, thanks to this variable brewing chamber, makes both machines even more unique and unparalleled.
3. Automatic Milk Frother
Moving on, there’s also the automatic LatteCrema system that works perfectly. It froths milk in the self-cleaning milk container. With the press of a button, it delivers milk straight into your cup along with the espresso that is also freshly brewed.
4. Aroma Settings
The way espresso tastes are quite varied. Thanks to the Aroma function that lets you adjust the strength on both machines. You can drink your espresso perfectly smooth and creamy with a rich layer of crema on top. Or it can be balanced and bittersweet that complements a piping hot latte or cappuccino. Or it can be strong like the perfect caffeine shot that most of us need every morning.
A super-automatic espresso machine gives you all of these varied flavours in a single machine. The default factoring settings of the Dinamica Plus and Eletta adjust the intensity, texture, and aroma of the coffee beans you add to its chamber.
And in a similar way, they also take care of maintaining a smooth and velvety texture of milk for fashioning hot lattes and cappuccinos perfectly.

I am Ralph Mason and I am a passionate coffee drinker. I worked as a barista for a few years and since 2012 I have been trying to convince as many people as possible of good coffee.
I started writing on the barista blog on RepublikCoffeeBar in 2018. It was a pure hobby site and I tested coffee products like coffee machines, beans, mug, and other accessories. After the first year, my blog is becoming a well-known coffee site with about 100 thousand visits per month.
In 2019 I decided to focus on RepublikCoffeeBar only. I became a full-time coffee blogger and was declared crazy by many.
Does the Dinamica not have “The coffee tastes delicious and rich every time”? A little concerned about having this Pro for Elleta and not Dinamica.
