It wasn’t simple for me to put these 2 espresso machines up for the debate of DeLonghi Eletta vs Philips 3200 LatteGo. But, after many considerations, I have finally decided on the absolute winner: Philips 3200 LatteGo.

Philips 3200 LatteGo is a good option if you want speedier extraction with a simple interface and clear indicator system. Even though it offers fewer one-touch beverages, its recipes cover the most standard coffee needs of any user, from classic espresso to velvety latte macchiato. I also really like how it can froth microfoam with ease. If you want a cut-price machine with medium-range qualities, 3200 LatteGo is the one!

Stay with the DeLonghi Eletta if you’re craving additional one-touch coffee recipes. This machine never fails to deliver a rich one-touch latte or cappuccino with good milk foam performance. I also like its sleek design with ergonomic water tank position, which allows easy removal. If you are willing to invest in a budget mid-range machine, Eletta is a good choice.

DeLonghi Eletta vs Philips 3200 LatteGo: Differences

Philips 3200 LatteGo wins 4-1 against DeLonghi Eletta. It may not have as many one-touch recipes as the later model, but it boasts a quieter grinder and potent LatteGo milk circuit system. The espresso also tastes amazing. I will give you the full details below!

Espresso extraction

Winner: DeLonghi Eletta

While the DeLonghi Eletta offers nine one-touch buttons for regular coffee, cappuccino, espresso, and other fun milk-based recipes, the Philips 3200 only has five programmable buttons for classic coffee or alternatives: espresso, coffee, latte macchiato, Americano, cappuccino. The DeLonghi Eletta is undoubtedly more versatile, resourceful, and unique for everyday usage for a novice desiring more espresso shots and new coffee recipes.

As for the flavor and texture of the drinks, the 15-bar pump pressure does a great job of delivering delicious cups with full-bodied crema. This technology is present in both Eletta and 3200 LatteGo. So if you are looking forward to brewing bold espresso and adjusting coffee strength and aroma, it’s possible with this pair.

Grinder

Winner: Philips 3200 LatteGo

Philips 3200 LatteGo and DeLonghi Eletta are equipped with a ceramic conical burr grinder. Despite sharing the same grinder type, there are various distinctions between them. Philips 3200 LatteGo, the winner of this round, boasts 12 settings and quiet operation, something that Eletta can’t offer. The later model has 7 grinder settings only, and it makes quite a ruckus when grinding beans.

As for the texture of the grounds, I’m impressed by what both models can deliver. I hardly notice any lump bit in the fine ground (judging from the used coffee puck).

Temperature Control

Winner: Philips 3200 LatteGo

The two Thermoblock heating components on the DeLonghi Eletta control the temperature. There are 3 different coffee temperature settings on the Philips 3200 LatteGo’s single heating element.

For the Eletta, this means improved performance and temperature regulation. To alter the machine’s default temperature settings so that you always receive hotter coffee, see the user handbook. The temperature, coffee strength, and coffee quantity may all be programmed. Before using the equipment for the first time, read the handbook. However, it’s also OK if you’re content with DeLonghi’s default temperature settings, though not as good as the Philips 3200.

You can save some time by not having to override the Philips manually. Additionally, you may easily change the texture of the milk foam, and the machine follows.

Milk system

Winner: Philips 3200 LatteGo

The automated milk frother is included with both devices. Programmable temperature and milk settings are available on the DeLonghi, whereas with the Philips, users can only change the texture of the milk froth. You can select from a variety of pre-set programs. The milk carafe is a practical container for storing milk before and after foaming and dispensing frothed milk into the cup.

The Eletta will conduct an auto-cleaning cycle when it is empty to eliminate stubborn stains and milk odor. So it appears to be a sturdy, multi-purpose instrument ideal for someone who wants to enjoy frothy beverages without needing a steam wand.

Philips 3200 LatteGo comes with a milk carafe run by the LatteGo system. The milk frother operates automatically and has customizable texture settings. The milk jug has markings that indicate how much milk to pour into each cup. There is a “max” line, a symbol for two servings, and two more symbols for the appropriate sizes.

The milk carafe on the Philips 3200 does not rest on the drip tray. It dangles there. Making it cleaner and, let’s be honest, more appealing! The froth level is easier to understand and more reliable. It blends flawlessly with the coffee beverages you select.

As for the milk texture, both machines can froth microfoam with ease to deliver amazing latte macchiato and cappuccino. It can also froth dense and creamy milk for flat whites.

Price and value

Winner: Philips 3200 LatteGo

There is no doubt that Philips 3200 LatteGo is the winner of this round. It’s is much more affordable than Delonghi Eletta, yet it boasts more stable operation that the more expensive machine.

What I like the most, even though it may sound insignificant, is the ultimate interface of Philips 3200 LatteGo. It looks very well-organized and allows me to make any adjustment without having to go through a learning curve.

Also, its indicators are much more convenient than Eletta. As you may already know, these machines have a way to notify users about their real-time conditions, like if their water tank is empty or when they need to be descaled.

With Philips 3200 LatteGo, I can see the indicator lights flashing without blocking the other buttons’ function or the interface in general. As for Eletta, for example, when it needs descaling, the alert will take over the entire interface, not allowing users to carry out any other procedure with the machine.
