In a head-to-head comparison of Jura WE8 vs Z6, the Z6 comes out as the winner for good reasons.

The J6 is a great super-automatic machine with advanced technology that can brew up to 13 coffee specialties. It is user-friendly, and everything can be done by just pushing a button. It is ideal for hobbyists, busy households, and anyone who can afford it.

On the other hand, the We8 is quieter when grinding and has a larger bean hopper, coffee ground container, and water reservoir. That means it’s perfect for commercial use. It can brew cup after cup without any problems.

Jura We8 Vs. Z6: Key Differences

The Z6 has a close win against the We8 with a score of 3-2. It is ideal for commercial use as it has a bigger water reservoir, coffee ground container, and bean hopper. Adding to its advantages is its affordable price. Let’s scroll down for more details!

Espresso Flavor

The winner: The We8.

Brewing Experience

The brewing experience of the Jura Z6 impressed me a little more, which is why I give it another win. With ten coffee strength settings available, it is easy to find the strength level that works best for you. You can adjust the heat more perfectly thanks to three integrated brewing temperature options.

Moreover, the Z6 allows you to personalize, save, or copy your products with ease to explore your favorite recipes. I bet you will feel satisfied during the brewing process with this machine. There’s nothing better than enjoying the brewing process in your own way, right?

On the flip side, the Jura WE8 is a bit underwhelming. It boards eight coffee strength levels and two brewing temperature settings.

Grinders

One of the settings you should scrutinize on automatic coffee machines is the grinder, as It plays a crucial role in the coffee experience.

I have nothing to complain about the grinders of both machines as I haven’t experienced any problem with them at all.

They are equipped with Aroma G3 grinders, which can grind all the coffee beans efficiently without taking too much time.

You will have six grind levels, giving you the freedom to grind fresh beans as fine or as coarsely as you like to gain the most aromas and flavors out of your beans.

Honestly, I prefer ceramic grinders, as they don’t overheat and risk burning the coffee beans. However, the Aroma G3 is also a fine setup. They can grind up the beans lightning-fast with angled blades that ensure precise flavors extraction.

Although I’m pleased with the grinding quality of both models, I chose the We8 as the winner because it was much quieter when grinding the beans. Meanwhile, the Z6 may produce a screeching sound. So the We8, no doubt, is ideal for those who have babies at home or work in an office setting where noise is not supportive.

Heating system

Both We8 and Z6 share a Thermoblock heating system, which heats up water quickly within about a minute.

If you want to get hot coffees rather than warm ones, I recommend starting up your machine 10 to 15 minutes ahead. This suggestion can also apply to all coffee machines out there, from home-use machines to commercial ones.

Despite having the same heating system, the We8 seems more efficient at brewing hot cups. Meanwhile, the products produced by the Z6 will cool off quickly.

Milk System

The winner: The Z6.

The Z6 won this category with up to ten programmable settings of milk foam temperature. They enable you to adjust the heat to get your preferred foam for smooth and creamy milk-based beverages.

One of the things that makes this coffee maker stand out from many other models is the innovative nozzle technology that helps you prepare irresistible foam easily. Plus, with just the touch of a button, it will automatically transform milk into foam.

On the flip side, the We8 lacks settings to alter the temperature of the milk foam. It seems inconvenient and tedious as you must stick to one specific heat. So it is safe to say that this model is not designed for perfect milk frothing.

If you do not need a model with an enormous capacity, the Z6 will be your best bet. But if you’re keen on a coffee machine for commercial use, you won’t go wrong with the We8.

The winner: The Z6.

Coffee Specialties

The Z6 has a close win in this battle as it delivers 13 coffee specialties, while the Jura WE8 offers 12. The difference in preset drinks between them is that the menu of the former option includes milk and milk foam products.

The We8 features a ground coffee setting in lieu of milk-preset drinks. There are no preset drinks of milk and milk foam. This further reinforces the assertion that this model doesn’t specialize in generating perfect frothing.

Capacity

The WE8 has a 101-ounce water reservoir and a 17.7-ounce bean container. Moreover, it has a large ground container, providing around 25 servings. As a result, it’s a good choice for self-service coffee shops and small offices, but it appears to be overkill for families.

So what about the Jurassic Z6? Its water tank and bean container have capacities of 81 oz and 10 oz, respectively. Its coffee grounds container is suitable for about 20 servings.

I have not decided on the winner of this round because, depending on the specific case, one may be better than the other.

Smartphone Friendly

Most Jura coffee machines allow you to control them remotely with your smartphone/tablet via the J.O.E app, and these two models are no exception. You have full control over your machine no matter where you are in your house.

Whether picking a beverage or customizing your drink, you can get the job done with several taps on the J.O.E app instead of standing around your coffee machine. It’s one of those unique experiences that you can only get from Jura products.

Cleaning And Maintaining

The winner: Draw.

Coffee lovers know how difficult it is to maintain super-automatic machines. There is no denying that it is akin to caring for a pet!

Fortunately, Jura equips low maintenance in both WE8 and Z6. They come with integrated programs, bao gồm cleaning/rinsing the milk system in the dual spout, rinsing the machine, descaling, filter changing, and more.

These machines are great as they automatically run hot water through the nozzles or dispensers when they turn off. Alternatively, any leftover coffee and milk will be pushed out of the brewing path.

No leftovers mean mold and bacteria cannot develop and go back into the water tank and the brew group, ruining your machine over time.

Also, you do not spend much effort cleaning these machines. All you need to do is drop a cleaning tablet in the pre-ground slots to rinse the brew groups thoroughly. After that, just choose the deep clean option to let them handle the rest of the process, and voila!

So we have a tie here! You won’t have to struggle with cleaning and maintaining whatever model you choose. Just save much of your valuable time doing other things like enjoying your coffee.

Jura We8 vs Z6: Similarities

Lightweight Design

The We8 and Z6 aren’t too heavy, although they look bulky. Also, they are good at anti-drip. After brewing, they continue to drip for ten seconds before definitely stopping. Minimum dripping means moving these machines around to clean them frequently is unnecessary.

Side Water Tank

Adding to their pros is the side water tank. It is not necessary to remove it or move your machine around to get to the tank. All you need to do is remove the lid, then pour water in. That way, refilling is no longer an arduous task.
