It has been easy to decide the winner of Gaggia Carezza Deluxe vs Gaggia Carezza Style! These machines share an identical exterior and interior design, but since Carezza Deluxe boasts some small convenient features that Carezza Style doesn’t, it’s the true winner of the debate!
The Deluxe version is the winner because it is equipped with a temperature gauge and a stainless steel Panarello wand. Even though the details aren’t major, the brewing experience is more efficient, especially the temperature gauge. Also, this model brews delicious espresso and knows how to work its single boiler well.
As for the Style version, it also can deliver tasty espresso with wonderful crema. And its milk frother can froth the same foam texture as Gaggia Carezza Deluxe. However, its plastic frother isn’t the most durable option in the espresso machines market.

Gaggia Carezza Deluxe vs Gaggia Carezza Style: Differences
Gaggia Carezza Deluxe wins 2-0 and ties once against Carezza Style. The truth is that both devices perform equally well in the flavor department. However, the Deluxe version boasts some small convenient details that the Style version doesn’t, like the temperature gauge or the stainless steel steam wand.
Espresso extraction
Tie
These devices extract the same espresso at a 15-bar pump pressure. I get a high-quality coffee crema from my Gaggia Carezza Deluxe and Style, and the flavor is very robust and rich as well. Thanks to the proper temperature and pre-infusion process, there is no wasted coffee powder, and I can always make the most of the ground batches I use. If you are an avid coffee drinker with a limited budget, these devices are a good investment.
Speaking of the crema, you have to see it to believe it. Whenever I pair the portafilter with a pressurized basket, I can always get a very thick and bright caramel-colored layer of crema. The crema adds to the full-bodied texture of the espresso, giving it an amazing velvety mouthfeel.
Also, since they are semi-automatic espresso machines, it’s a requirement that users flow-stop manually. But the valve does such a good job that it will shut off the extraction immediately, ensuring as little spilling as possible.
Milk frother
Winner: Gaggia Carezza Deluxe
Gaggia Carezza Deluxe and its fellow Carezza Style can broth froth creamy to dry foam with their potent steam pressure. I can already obtain a cup of dry foam for a cappuccino or latte macchiato in 45s. The texture becomes creamy enough for latte art in approximately 25-30 seconds. And, even though the milk temperature isn’t ideal at this stage, if you froth faster, you can still produce a cup of flat white.
The reason why Gaggia Carezza Deluxe wins, though, is as mentioned. The steam wand is made of stainless steel, which is more durable and heat-conductive than the Style’s plastic steam wand. In the long term, there is no doubt that a stainless steel wand is the better option since its withstands damage more.
Utilities
Winner: Gaggia Carezza Deluxe
Gaggia Carezza Deluxe boasts a temperature gauge to notify users whether the temperature has reached its ideal level yet. We all know that there is a difference between the standard heat-up time and the optimum heat-up time. These machines’ standard heat-up time takes 30s only. But to get a hot and steaming cup, we need to know the optimum preparation time.
With Deluxe, it’s easier because the gauge indicates the temp level clearly. All we have to do is check the clockwise to know if the espresso will come out hot.
Some of the convenient utilities that these machines share are: 9-minute shut-off, descaling alert, cup warming tray, and deep drip tray.
Gaggia Carezza Deluxe vs Gaggia Carezza Style: Similarities
Check out the similarities between Gaggia Carezza Deluxe and Gaggia Carezza Style below!
Visible water level
At the front of these machines, you can encounter a small transparent window that gives users a clear view of the water level inside the tank, allowing them to keep up with the refilling. Also, there is a line that indicates the minimum water level that a reservoir should have. Avoid brewing when it’s short on water at all costs!
Efficient single boiler
Being cut-price entry-level machines, the pair isn’t equipped with a very advanced heating element. But their single boilers are no joke, either. I can start extracting espresso after 30s of pressing the power button. However, it’s best to leave them on for a good minute or two before extraction to ensure that the temperature is ideal. Carezza Deluxe makes it easier to decide, thanks to the temperature gauge.
Quick Rundown Of Gaggia Carezza Deluxe
- Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted
- FROTHING FOR MILK BEVERAGES: Pannarello wand frothing for cappuccinos & lattes. Wand doubles as a hot water dispenser for Americanos & tea
- Brewing features: pressurized porta filter brews both ground Coffee and ESE pods. Pre-infusion function pre-wets grounds before brewing for rich, even extraction
- AUTOMATIC POWER DOWN: The Carezze will power down after 9 minutes of inactivity to save energy
