Breville Bambino Plus vs Bambino Pro: Differences

The Breville Bambino Plus receives more fan support than its pro counterpart among the two. I thought you’d appreciate a brief rundown of both, but it’s really all a matter of personal preference.

1. PROFILE

Bambino Pro: The control settings
Bambino Pro: The control settings

The build quality and size of the espresso machine are both crucial factors to consider. The Bambino Plus espresso machine is both portable and compact. The espresso machine is equipped with the necessary tools to make espresso from scratch.

This tiny espresso machine fits perfectly on small countertops because it’s small in size. Therefore, if you do not have enough space in your kitchen, the Breville Bambino is the ideal choice.

Compared to the Bambino Plus, the Bambino Pro is similar in many ways. As an espresso machine, it is compact and comfortable for home use.

This machine is a complete powerhouse for users new to espresso machines. You can place this in any corner, and it will look absolutely gorgeous and ready to use in no time.

However, even with the tall frame, the Bambino Pro is still tall enough to accommodate glasses that are taller than average. Portafilters benefit from a low profile that allows them to fit over tall mugs more easily.

2. TASTE

There is no difference in the quality of the espresso flavour produced by both machines. In my experience, though, I have learned that buying into those qualities is not enough. A good espresso maker should also distinguish between black coffee and milk coffee.

With black coffee, one or two espresso shots can be used initially or can be mixed with hot water. Coffee made with milk has become a fancy, silky-smooth drink that always looks camera-ready. There are various types of lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, mochas, etc.

A single espresso machine isn’t appropriate for both purposes. In contrast, Breville’s Bambino Plus can do both! It produces a signature taste that is just right for milk because it provides just the right amount of cream and rich tones. Bambino Plus is a great product that has made things simpler for people like us for a fantastic price.

Thanks to its automated milk-steaming feature and wand, this machine works like a charm. What is the Bambino Pro’s place in all of this? Due to its innovative Thermocoil technology, it can produce fast and rich espresso.

Moreover, it has an auto-steaming temperature sensor. This automated feature should help you if you don’t have time to steam milk to the right texture temperature manually. Of course, you can change back to manual operation whenever you like.

3. Milk System

Breville has two milk systems for their espresso machines: the Bambino Plus and the Bambino Pro.  Both are great options if you want an automatic machine with more features than your standard drip coffee maker but still at a reasonable cost.

The main difference is that the Plus offers better milk-steaming than the Pro.  This means that the steamed milk will be thicker in consistency when using the Plus than the Pro. For example, I prefer my latte’s thick enough where they’re almost like pudding rather than thin milkshakes. In general, both machines produce good espresso, but some people may prefer the frothing wand on the Plus for lattes and cappuccinos.

3. CLEANING AND MAINTAINANCE

Maintenance will be just as easy as the actual performance of a good espresso machine. Therefore, you don’t need to purchase fancy tools to clean the parts you need to clean. It is the same with Breville Bambino Plus & Pro.

Cleaning and maintaining a Breville espresso machine is not difficult, but there are some differences between the Bambino Plus and the Bambino Pro. The Plus has a removable drip tray and water tank, while the Pro does not. Both machines need to be descaled every few months, and you should replace the filters every few hundred shots.

Breville Bambino Plus vs Bambino Pro: Similarities

The Breville Bambino Plus and the Breville Bambino Pro are both espresso machines with many similarities. First of all, both are automatic espresso machines. They both have a stainless steel boiler system.  This is important because it helps maximize heat transfer to extract a rich, flavorful espresso shot. It also helps to keep the machine from getting too hot.

Next, both have a digital display that will allow you to see the time and temperature at which your espresso is brewing. It also helps provide information on when it’s time to turn off the machine. Both models offer a removable drip tray. This feature benefits you because it helps you clean the machine easily.
