Check out my review for the debate of Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe Breville vs Delonghi. You may be wondering what the difference between the Delux version and the normal VertuoPlus version is and if there is any difference in the Delux version between the Delonghi and Breville lines. My answer is that Delonghi is more worth-to-buy.
The winner Delonghi Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe boasts a larger water tank and delicious espresso extraction thanks to its Centrifusion technology. The operation is stable, and I get very consistent espresso quality. If you are a fan of thick coffee crema, this model will also satisfy you.
As for Breville Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe, the device also delivers the same espresso and crema quality. However, it leaks more than Delonghi and is slightly noisier, even though not by much.

Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe Breville vs Delonghi: Differences
Delonghi Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe wins 3-0 against Breville in this case. It is quieter when brewing, doesn’t leak and has a slightly larger dreg drawer. Check out how each aspect plays out for me below!
Noise level
Winner: Delonghi Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe
Delonghi Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe does better at keeping the noise level low. I have made fresh cups in the morning without suffering from the loud rumbling sound that many Nespresso machines with Centrifusion technology make. This is different from the Breville, though. The Deluxe model from this brand is slightly noisier, which is very common for Centrifusion machines. But it’s not by much.

Leak-free
Winner: Delonghi Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe
This time, Delonghi doesn’t leak, but Breville does. I have seen it leaking through the water tank platform and have had to wipe the kitchen counter many times. This is one of the serious leaking cases that I got. It’s more common than you think. Since the water route is from the bottom of the platform and the tank is removable, it’s very easy to leak. Luckily, Delonghi doesn’t manifest any sign of it.
Dreg drawer capacity
Winner: Delonghi Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe
While Breville Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe can hold up to 10 capsules only, the fellow Delonghi lasts longer with 14. So, if you want a dreg drawer capacity that requires less frequent dumping, the Delonghi Vertuoplus Deluxe is the better choice.
On the other than, I don’t suggest that this is a major reason to pick Delonghi over Breville with the Vertuoplus Deluxe line. The reason is that it’s best to clear the container daily to avoid mold formation. So it doesn’t affect that much if you pick a slightly smaller dreg drawer.
Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe Breville vs Delonghi: Similarities
There are 3 similarities that I want to point out, you can check them out below, and you can decide better with them.
Larger water tank capacity
With the Delux line, you can get a larger water tank of around 60oz that will last about 3 days if you brew up to 4 cups daily. I recommend the Delux line over the standard VertuoPlus since it lasts longer with a little bit of price added only.

One-button operation
The machines only have 1 button for brewing and turning up the devices. This is all thanks to the capsule recognition technology. The devices will brew according to the parameters integrated into the barcode of the capsules you use. So you don’t have to adjust anything. That’s the beauty of the one-touch operation.
Easy capsule ejection
You have to tap the lever slightly, and the devices will automatically open the capsule slot and eject the old capsule. It’s very easy and convenient. And tap the lever again when you want to close the top of the group head.

Quick Rundown Of Breville Nespresso Vertuoplus Deluxe
- Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted. Please refer to user guide or user manual or user guide (provided below in PDF) before first use

I am Ralph Mason and I am a passionate coffee drinker. I worked as a barista for a few years and since 2012 I have been trying to convince as many people as possible of good coffee.
I started writing on the barista blog on RepublikCoffeeBar in 2018. It was a pure hobby site and I tested coffee products like coffee machines, beans, mug, and other accessories. After the first year, my blog is becoming a well-known coffee site with about 100 thousand visits per month.
In 2019 I decided to focus on RepublikCoffeeBar only. I became a full-time coffee blogger and was declared crazy by many.
