I consider Nespresso Expert Breville vs Delonghi to be a very interesting debate because the design of this pair doesn’t resemble most Nespresso devices I have tested. And after a long and hard consideration, I give my vote to Breville Nespresso Expert.
Breville Nespresso Expert wins thanks to its faster heating time and better temperature control. I have consistently gotten delicious cups with this model. And I’m impressed by the set of recipes it can prepare, equivalent to 4 different coffee volumes. Another thing I like is the water tank size that can store up to 37oz of water, which is significantly bigger than most Nespresso devices.
As for Delonghi Nespresso Expert, it loses to Breville in the espresso consistency. Sometimes I get slightly weak cups. Sometimes the flavor is just right. Other than this, there isn’t any other major difference between the 2.

Breville Nespresso Expert wins thanks to its stable espresso extraction. Despite sharing the exact same features with 19-bar pump pressure, I find the espresso flavor of Breville more balanced, and it’s rare to get a bad-tasting cup with it. Of course, it’s important to learn how to take advantage of the coffee capsules and the coffee volumes and recipes that the pair offers to get the best result.
Sharing the same Thermoblock, Breville Expert heats up only 5s faster than the Delonghi, but it’s still an advantage that I want to point out. Of course, I don’t suggest brewing right away after the machines get ready to get the most optimum temperature. Leave it on for a good minute or 2, then start extracting as you normally do.
